Your swing is relatively
simple to install. You will need:
1. Tape measure
2. Additional strong ceiling rope
3. A ladder or chair
4. You may need ceiling hooks if no beam or place to tie a rope
exists. (An 10mm thick or 3/8-1/2 inch eye steel hook. Hooks are
available at local building supply stores.
The daisy adjustment webbing included with your swing is for part of
the adjustment system. You will need additional strong rope if your
ceiling height is higher then 8.5 ft to attatch to your home beam.
Firstly, select a safe spot where there is at least 60cm (2 feet) of
space in all directions. This is the minimal amount (one meter or
more space is ideal).
The beam must be sturdy and not termited by bugs. Test the strength
of the beam if necessary by putting 2 people in the swing and
testing.
Outside or under the porch or roof is an ideal location for the
Swing. In the living room or bedroom is good too. Places where
others can enjoy.
Place a rag over the beam where the rope drops over and down to the
floor. Over time the rope could become worn causing failure without
this cloth.
So when the top of your
adjustment chain is hanging from either a hook or a rope that
extends to the ceiling or overhead placement you are ready to
hang your Air Gyro Gym into place. The first is the Hand Grips
which are best hung at the highest Loop in webbing strap make
sure you can reach the top handle with ease. Next put in the
Leg Loops we find that when the leg holsters are with your feet
in the loop put your weight into the springy foot pad, it will
extend another foot. From that height measure that the floor is
at least 6 to 18 inches so that you have lots of free room to
move your feet an they dont touch the floor.
KEEP IN MIND FOR SAFETY
AMONG THE YOUNG KIDS THAT YOU PUT THE FOOT LOOPS AS CLOSE TO THE
GROUND AS POSSIBLE AS WELL AS THE SADDLE FOR THERE SAKE IN CASE
THEY FALL OR EASE OF IN OR OUT OF THE SWING!
HANGING YOUR SADDLE You
want the saddle to be high enough that when you sit in it and
turn upside down that your head has at least 6 inches of room to
move. To low and when you invert you could hit your head
because your going backward. So start by putting the swing in
the same loop as the foot loops and invert. How to invert for
those who are new to this. Sit in swing lean back hold onto the
handles or the swing open your knees wide lift them to THE
OUTSIDE OF THE SWING SADDLE once your knees are out side the
fabric wrap your feet above your knees so that you are LOCKED IN
AS WE SAY. Checc the height of the space from the flor and if
to low hang from the next rung.
